Since 1923 the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce's first goal has always been the same volunteer business people joined together to improve the business climate in our community. Members of the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce enjoy benefits and services unique to Chamber membership.

Event Sponsorship

The Chamber sponsors events throughout the year to bring the businesses and the community together in an effort to increase the visibility of the area and your business. The events, such as the Chamber Art Walks, The Annual Golf Classic, Memorial Day Service, Oktoberfest and the Christmas Parade, offer members an opportunity to sponsor education scholarships and other programs for local youth groups through cooperative advertising.

Networking Opportunities

Monthly after hours mixers are a place to network your business in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They are open to the entire community and provide a place to socialize as well.


Education and Current Events

Quarterly newsletter, "The Business Connection," Annual Golf Tournament to fund scholarship program, and an Awards Dinner which recognizes volunteerism and to honors local businesses and organizations.

Advocacy for Business Issues

Chamber hosts, Local, State & Federal government representation, monthly with Legislative meetings.

Information and Referrals

Research demographics, city map, member business cards and flyers are displayed and referred to the public at no charge.

Advertising

New members are presented a plaque and complementary membership mailing labels. They are encouraged to hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to increase their visibility in the community and for which the Chamber will arrange for visiting dignitaries and local news coverage. Other advertising opportunities include the annual Member Directory, the newsletter The Business Connection, the annual Business EXPO, and event sponsorships.

Leadership and Planning

The Chamber offers members opportunities to become leaders and be a part of the planning for our community's future through involvement in task forces, advocacy committees, and Board directorship.

Special Benefits

Our Chamber is a member of the California Chamber of Commerce and Management groups. This insures a constant source of information regarding promotional ideas, legislative guides and financial management available at the Chamber office.
